Not due to a pandemic, or when physical parades and parties are not possible. Pride is celebrated every day of the year, every time one of us comes out, or whenever we advocate for human rights. Pride is not just the month of June or the brands that grasp it as an opportunity to sell to a new target group. Pride started as a riot by black trans women, and pride is the political statements we make every day by having the courage to be unapologetically ourselves. Pride includes the message of Black Trans Lives Matter and Black Lives Matter. Because we are what? Intersectional!
